Welcome from the NAPSC Board - well, 2017 was a surprise year!....a smaller than expected group but with almost 25% first time attendees. Special thanks to the teams from Australia, Canada & Great Britian for making everything so much fun!

Dear NAPSC Racers, Guests And Sponsors,

Thank you Bob Hislop, Mark Spray, Rich Herr, Harry Nimrod, Mike Yates, Pat Bennett and Allison Andrews for starting NAPSC in 1989. Thank you JP DeJoria (JPMS) & Bill Kennedy Jr (Udder Cream). for making this event possible and permitting us to continue!

The 28th Annual race week was another great success in spite of a smaller crowd. We had an incredible week of competition, camaraderie, and charity. We must thank our many sponsors and donors, for without them, this event would not exist.

Over $14,700 was raised for the Winter Sports Programs of Special Olympics. We also raised another $2300 for Promises for Parkinsons in honor of our past chairman and long time Board member, Barry Mones. With those funds plus monies given to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Museum, collectively, we have now surpassed raising over $1 million for charity.

The registration fee of only $460 is valued at more than $1100. The event will be held at Snowmass, CO during the week of March 3-10, 2018. We have had many great years in Snowmass, they have great facilities, a great race department, friendly and helpful staff and with the new base village and other exciting changes at Snowmass we hope lots of folks come back to help us celebrate! If you have not heard, the Westin Hotel Group has bought the Silvertree Hotel, the conference center and the Wildwood Lodge. They then put $50 million in to renovations and you will not recognize the new Wildwood, our headquarters hotel! You can book directly by clicking on this link: https://www.starwoodmeeting.com/StarGroupsWeb/ Rooms that normally are $225+ are just $139 per room night for us. The lodging link should be operational soon. Note that you need to reserve your room early. The lodging block expires by January 31st.

Our race format will again include both the GS and super G and by popular demand, the slalom event will return on Tuesday!. Guest racers will seed after police officers, and they will have the opportunity to run the same courses that the officers run throughout the week. We also reduced the number of race courses to 3, BUT, we still gave awards to 4 divisions, A,B,C,D. A being the highest level

The lodging link will soon be available on the website under "Event Info". You must use the code "NORTH AMERICAN POLICE SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS " or "NAPSC" when making reservations. We hope the large majority of you choose to stay at the Wildwood as it affects our conference center rental costs, but we also recognize that some of you will need a condo and Snowmass can definitely accomodate your needs. The new bar with entertainment in the Wildwood has become the place to be for apres ski or a fun evening, and then there are the two new hot tubs at the pool too!

Please continue to assist us in our event efforts by bringing door prizes and auction items. If you have a company that can provide product samples, you can have them shipped to Bob Singletary at his address in the contact section of the website, and if you bring in a $1500 sponsor, your entry is comped.

If you do not wish to race, you can still join us for a great week of skiing, snowshoeing, and an opportunity to network with officers and guests from around the world.

So until registration on Sunday, March 4, 2018 stay safe, stay well and we will see you on the slopes!

Your NAPSC Board of Directors
